| Is managing constantly changing design data becoming more and more difficult? Do you find yourself bogged down with time-consuming administrative tasks? Do you wish you had more time to focus on designs?
Addressing these issues is easier than you think. This webinar will show you how to create more efficient engineering processes by integrating your design environment with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Learn how to conquer daily challenges managing part data, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bill of Materials (BOMs) and design documents and free up time to focus on what you do best-designing products. This webinar is hosted by Trilogic. Integration of Mentor Graphics and Omnify Software products will be demonstrated.
What you will learn: • How to simplify component data and library management for Mentor (DxDesigner/DxDatabook) environments • How to access part information directly from your design environment • How to improve part selection with access to data such as cost, lead times, and “where used” • How to shorten ECO and New Part Request (NPR) cycles through automated processes • How to easily manage revisions and variances for BOMs • How to ensure change information is shared across the Enterprise • How to easily manage part data for RoHS compliance
Who Should Attend: • Engineering Managers • Design Mangers • Operations Managers • Document Control Managers

| Omnify Software is a SolidWorks Solution Partner. Our PLM solution has a direct interface to SolidWorks and provides a central location to manage all released mechanical and electrical data. The SolidWorks interface allows SolidWorks users to easily generate BOM reports from any SolidWorks assembly and automatically upload BOMs, models and final documentation into the Omnify PLM system. Omnify integrated with SolidWorks helps to create a more efficient mechanical design and documentation process by eliminating duplicate data entry and shortening development cycles. This demonstration will show how the two systems complement each other and will help attendees learn more about the benefits of an integrated environment.

| Learn about technology, procedures and tips
With a growing number of regulations, Medical Device manufacturers need a simplified way to achieve compliance while maintaining efficient product development. Device manufacturers who track their documentation electronically are subject to meeting the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) 21 CFR Part 11 electronic signatures guidelines. U.S. Medical Device manufacturers must meet FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System regulations which require them to have a quality system in place for the design, manufacture, packaging, labeling, storage, installation, and servicing of finished medical devices. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 13485 Medical Devices – Quality Management Systems compliance is a requirement for those marketing devices to the European Union.
One approach many manufacturers take to satisfy these regulatory requirements is to utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology in order to automate processes and create a controlled environment for managing all of the information involved in designing their products. However, each of the regulators (FDA & ISO) requires that the technology be validated to confirm compliance to the written standards.
This webinar will demonstrate how PLC Medical Systems, a leader in innovative technologies for the Cardiac and Vascular Markets, automated Engineering Change and Training Processes with PLM technology for continuous improvement. In addition, attendees will see how the company designed and executed a validation protocol to meet various FDA and ISO compliance requirements. Webinar attendees can use this knowledge as a starting point for their own compliance efforts.
Topics will include: -Key benefits of PLM technology for medical device manufacturers -Transitioning to an automated product design and development environment -FDA requirements review -ISO requirements review -Software Validation -Process demo
Speakers: Jeff Steward, Director of IT, PLC Medical Systems Ern Damon, Document Control Manager, PLC Medical Systems David Solimini, VP of Technical Sales, Omnify Software
