WILMINGTON, MA. - December 15, 2003 - Omnify Software, a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software for mid-market electronic, medical, mechanical, and defense OEMs, today announced that Mangrove Systems is successfully collaborating with external partners on new product development. Omnify Software enables faster and more cost effective product development by ensuring early-stage visibility into vendor costs for required components and cross-organization collaboration within the application. Mangrove Systems required a product lifecycle management solution that would allow the company to customize materials reports to fit and integrate with its design environment. At the initial implementation stage, Omnify Software easily transferred Mangrove's legacy data from their database, which contained more than 35,000 records, into Omnify to ensure that all information was available online and records could be accessed more efficiently. By storing all core product development information in Omnify PLM, Mangrove has seen efficiency in development including electronic sign off on change orders and the ability for Mangrove's manufacturing partners to be tightly tied into the ECO process and constantly collaborate on product direction changes. "Mangrove Systems is pleased to implement Omnify as our change management tool," said John Hannon, CFO and COO at Mangrove Systems. "Omnify PLM provides our design engineers and manufacturing partners with all of the Bill of Material, Change Management and cost information required to design and build a quality product. The support we have received from the Omnify team is superb." With Omnify, Mangrove is able to produce more products, meet customer demands more efficiently, reduce work and product redundancies and focus on the ongoing innovations that are required when building the next generation networking platform. "Emerging growth companies like Mangrove Systems benefit from Omnify PLM because it enables them to quickly and easily adapt to changes in the product development lifecycle, at a low overall cost," said Chuck Cimalore, CTO of Omnify Software. "In addition, the solution enables increased communication concerning product requirements with partners and manufacturers, ensuring product development is streamlined." In the coming months, Mangrove Systems will integrate Omnify PLM with its enterprise resource planning system, Red Wing, enabling even greater visibility into the supply chain and further ensuring the networking platforms are developed quickly and cost efficiently.
