As OEMs increasingly outsource to manufacturing partners, the need to streamline the communication of vital product information between OEMs and their partners is imperative. Omnify PLM provides a secure environment for contract manufacturers (CMs) to view and manage their OEM customer's product data, allowing them to participate in sourcing and design processes. This ultimately results in a stronger communication relationship between the CM and their OEM customers, reducing the ECO cycle, eliminating scrap and re-work, and eliminating lost schedule time.
| A secure environment is essential when companies are sharing their important product data. With Omnify PLM, manufactuirng partners can log into Omnify remotely using a remote client that has all of the capability of a local client. Roles can be setup for manufacturing partners so they can only view the data that they need to see. Remote connections are configured so they only connect to the Omnify database server via the company firewall. The product license is checked out of the Omnify server so no licenses need to be purchased by partners for them to participate.

Omnify PLM allows manufacturing partners to gain access to real-time product developemnt data, such as real-time updates of BOM changes upon release of a new part request (NPR) or engineering change order (ECO). They are able to participate in NPRs and ECOs at the review or signoff level, involving them in the most important part of a product build- design and sourcing. Omnify's open platform also allows manufacturing partners to pull a BOM into a custom report that can be easily read into their own PLM or ERP system.
